History & Presentation

After a period dedicated to plant and machinery maintenance in various industrial sectors, Adriano Stocco, founder and owner of Instalmec realised that it was time to set-up an activity of his own to meet the pressing need for innovative plants, basing on his long and extensive experience in the field.

Thus INSTALMEC was founded in 1979, as a provider of technical assistance. Although this remained its core activity, the company soon began to specialise in the design and construction of plant and auxiliary machinery in the woodworking sector - which at the time was experiencing significant growth - without disregarding plastic materials and fume treatment. Its principal aim, however, was to remain very flexible and responsive to market needs and to introduce innovation in existing industrial processes.

The first production plant was based in Torviscosa (Udine). Rapid growth followed and by the mid 90's space had become limited thus hampering further growth.

The headquarters were then moved to San Giorgio di Nogaro (Udine) - not far from the first manufacturing plant - on an industrial estate that is amongst the most important in North East Italy, which was already served by a primary transport network , motorway, airport, railway and seaport.
